This complete rehab on the waterfront in Burlington includes the removal of approximately 2,300 square feet of asphalt court and old overgrown Japanese garden and cedar hedges. We are installing a bocce court, native plantings from Gardener's Supply Company, a natural cleft bluestone patio with stone from Cleary Stone Company, a fire pit, and landscape lighting from The Lighting House!
We are finishing up this project in South Hero! Naylor & Breen Builders, Inc. built this home designed by Brad Rabinowitz Architect. The landscape was designed by Cynthia Knauf Landscape Design Inc. We installed bluestone walks and patios with stone from Trowel Trades Supply, Inc. We planted trees, shrubs and perennials from Gardener's Supply Company.
Foam Brewers is celebrating one year in business! We are installing an irregular stone walkway and patio that reflects the mood of the interior. The patio will be used as an outdoor bar. Once plantings and a trellis are installed, this bar/brewery will have a great outdoor space to be enjoyed by happy customers.
Some of our crew is working on a new project, a barn on the lake! Monolithic natural cleft bluestone slabs are being used to create walkways and patios that match the large scale of the property. Sod will be installed in the joints to create a rustic informal look.
Our masons also masterfully pieced together split face fieldstone steps to create large continuous stair treads leading into this lake barn which will be used to host events with its amazing view up Lake Champlain.
Remember this Morrisville home? We finished this project in July and recently went back to check how things were doing, and they look great! The lawn is lush and the plants are already filling in the space! We’re so happy to have been able to give this client a beautiful outdoor living space that can coincide with the amazing views.
Here are some more photos of the Littleton project! Grand views and a grand house inspired us for this massive landscape/hardscape design. Now our installation gets to be the foundation of many memories to come! Once the plants grow and patio furniture is laid out this outdoor living space will have a complete and cozy feel, despite its enormity.
The University of Vermont Alumni House was built in 1892 and is 18,000 square feet. Recently a 2,600 square foot addition was put on and we were hired to do the landscaping. Around the addition we installed bluestone mortared patios and stair treads as well as granite steps. We also did a brick paver patio and walkway with alumni names etched into the bricks. Around both the new addition and the original building we installed tree, shrub and perennial plantings. Despite the age of the architecture, this recently renovated building is now looking as lively and welcoming as ever.
After finishing construction of their house, these clients came to us for an outdoor living space that would complete their new home. With random pattern bluestone patios and fieldstone steps we were able to connect multiple access points along the back side of the house. Lights are integrated into the stone walls for a cozier feel when enjoying the space in the evenings. All of this was done while being cognizant of the 100ft lake setback.
