Chemical Free Swim
Remember this Morrisville home? We finished this project in July and recently went back to check how things were doing, and they look great! The lawn is lush and the plants are already filling in the space! We’re so happy to have been able to give this client a beautiful outdoor living space that can coincide with the amazing views.
Things are moving right along with this big Littleton project! The massive waterfall is running and the sunken bar is taking its shape! We cannot wait until all the finishing touches are done and everything comes together! Every week the landscape gets more and more impressive which is very rewarding for the crew who has been working hard!
One of our crews is finishing up work at this old historic estate in Bethlehem, New Hampshire! The landscaping for this property had to be integrated into an existing ledge, partly consisting of a giant rock. We put in a swimming/Koi pond equipped with a three pump system for maximum flow and circulation, an aerator, and color changing underwater LED lights! Both the lights and equipment use a Pentair Easy Touch System which can be activated with any Smartphone or tablet. The pond is fed by a huge, curving waterfall that starts from behind the gazebo.
This is a swimming pond we installed last year in Cornwall, VT. We are pleased to see the plantings are growing great and toys near the perimeter means it is getting its use! This pond was made easy to get into and shallow because the owners have two small children who they wanted to be able to safely play in and near the pond. Meanwhile the parents can sit on the small patio and soak their feet or wade into the deeper area to cool off.
If you’re looking for a more natural look and feel for your outdoor living space, we can design and install a natural swimming pond, waterfall or other unique water feature on your property. Swimming ponds are great for older homes because their natural look doesn’t seem out of place like some pools can. Swimming ponds can also help add a natural feel to any modern home. They are also more environmentally friendly and chemical free. Just like a pool, swimming ponds use UV light, skimmers, sand filters and two bottom drains to stay clean - no need for chlorine! A bog can also be used to keep the water clean, because the plants naturally work as a filter.
Vermont Water Feature
This Vermont Water Feature was designed by our Vermont Landscape Designer to fit in to this existing site. Our skilled Landscape Installers masterfully sculpted this Water Feature, incorporating existing ledge outcrops and vegetation. Two individual ponds connected by waterfalls and a collection pool comprise this Water Feature. This Vermont Water Feature is actually a Swim Pond complete with a high efficiency pump, sand filter, and UV filter ensuring a clean and inviting chemical-free swim. The lower pond is planted with Vermont Native Wetland Plants and will be home to aquatic wildlife. The upper pond will remain free of aquatic plants to maximize the swim area. This Landscape Design also includes an Irregular Bluestone Patio and Bluestone Steppers throughout the Water Feature. Landshapes has over 20 years experience building Water Features in Vermont, so give us a call today if you are interested.
